    Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I get my eyeglasses from NH Eye Associates?
We believe that purchasing your eyewear should always be a positive experience! Our goal is to provide high-quality, comfortable eyewear with excellent value. Our experienced team of opticians will help you select the perfect glasses for your taste, budget and visual needs.

    How much do eyeglasses cost?
We have pricing to accommodate every budget, from simple frames to high-end designer products.

Do I need an appointment to pick out eyeglasses?
You never need an appointment to come to our optical department. You can choose your eyeglasses on the day of your appointment or come back at a more convenient time. We are also happy to fill an eyeglass prescription from an outside location. Please feel free to visit us at your convenience.

Will my insurance pay for my eyeglasses?
We participate with several types of vision insurance, including VSP® and Eyemed. Most vision insurance plans will cover some, but not all of the cost of a pair of eyeglasses. You may be entitled to other vision benefits as well. It is always a good idea to verify your benefits with your insurance company prior to your appointment. Still not sure? We’ll be happy to help you look into your benefits.

Do my eyeglasses come with a warranty?
All frames are warrantied against defects and normal wear and tear for one year. Most specialty lenses have a 1-2 year warranty as well.

Can I come in just to have my glasses adjusted?
For our patients, there is never a charge for adjustments, cleanings and most repairs no matter when (or where) you got your glasses!

How long will it take to get my new eyeglasses?
Most eyeglasses take 7-10 business days to arrive. Some specialty products may take longer. We will notify you the day your glasses arrive.

I wear contact lenses, do I still need glasses?
You should always have a backup pair of eyeglasses, in case you are unable to wear your contacts for some reason. It is also good to give your eyes an occasional rest from the contact lenses. We will help you select a frame and lens combination that will make you look great!

    What about sunglasses?
A good pair of sunglasses will protect your eyes from damaging UV rays that can cause multiple problems with your eyes later in life. Polarization in your sunglasses blocks annoying and uncomfortable sun glare. Prescription and non-prescription sunglasses are available at NH Eye Associates.

Do you have a payment plan available to purchase eyeglasses?
NH Eye Associates is pleased to accept CareCredit™. This convenient payment plan lets you purchase your glasses right away and pay them off in monthly installments that fit your budget. Many purchases will qualify for an interest free payment period as well. For more information, or to apply for CareCredit ™ click here.
